Build with snap-brick parts
Start with basic blocks and plates, then shape the build with a larger catalogue of wheels, axles, steering pieces, connectors, glass, slopes, wings, springs, tracks, seats, lamps, service parts, aircraft forms, and space-inspired details. The palette supports search and focused filters so a useful part stays findable even as the library grows. Placement feedback marks a preview as supported, partially supported, floating, or blocked before you commit it.
The workspace uses grid positions and vertical layers. You can place a new part, select an existing part, move it in small steps, rotate it by ninety degrees, duplicate it, or delete it. Relaxed support mode leaves room for experimental construction, while strict support mode prevents unsupported floating placement. Undo and redo make structural experiments reversible, and named local designs let you keep separate versions rather than sacrificing a working baseline.
Connect functional assemblies
Vehicle parts are more than decoration. Wheels, drive links, steering pieces, and connectors expose compatible connection roles. The builder distinguishes nearby support from an exact socket match, displays connection guidance during placement, and can align a selected functional part to the best compatible open socket. Generic Snap Best helps with supported stacking, while the dedicated Socket action targets a functional fit.
A complete-looking silhouette is not automatically a complete rolling chassis. Use readiness feedback to check the wheel count, axle and drivetrain support, steering, estimated stability, mass, aero, and braking contributions. A connector is most useful when it bridges the sockets it is meant to join. These checks are game guidance for the current build model, not claims about the mechanical strength or safety of a real vehicle.
Prepare and run the ramp test
When the build is ready, prepare a snapshot and move to the Ramp test. The snapshot freezes the parts and calculated statistics that the run will use. Preflight messages point out missing wheels, weak drivetrain support, low stability, heavy mass, tall proportions, or a low aero margin, but they do not block experimentation. Adjust the start push, choose an orbit or follow camera, and launch when you are ready.
The ramp is a stat-based chassis simulation with one tuned collider. Aggregate inputs include wheels, axles, steering, drivetrain, aero, brakes, mass, and stability; Brick Garage does not simulate independent collision physics for every brick. Finished runs report distance, maximum speed, score, and a finish reason. Tuning hints turn stalls, falls, low speed, and short distance into concrete next steps, while a current-versus-best comparison helps you decide which change to test next.
Progress, save, and share locally
Garage Career provides ten missions and five ranks based on core building milestones and recorded ramp runs. Progress is stored locally in this browser, just like drafts, named designs, recent run history, and best results. There is no account or cloud sync in the current release, so clearing site data, switching devices, or using a private session can remove local progress. Exported design JSON is the durable backup for a build.
Completed ramp results can produce share text and a 1200 by 630 image card. Eligible core builds can also create a BR1 share code or local remix link. A received remix opens as a read-only preview first, and the recipient chooses whether to save it locally. Shared data does not claim a global rank, verified performance, purchase, or ownership. It is a portable invitation to inspect a build, make a variation, and run another test.
